King starts new science, technology school
BRISTOL, Tenn. (AP) – In an effort to help better prepare students for 21st century careers, King University in East Tennessee has established a school of applied science and technology.
The new school at the university in Bristol offers bachelor degree programs that complement education students have received at local community colleges.
The Bristol Herald Courier (http://bit.ly/1mATcEd) cited a statement from the university in reporting that the program offers students a concentration of six related courses in addition to opportunities for specializations or electives.
University President Greg Jordan said the school will broaden the options of community college students who want to pursue a related bachelor’s degree.
