Memphis woman charged with killing cousin with car
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) – Authorities say a Memphis woman has been charged with murder after she drove an SUV into a crowd of people, killing her cousin.
According to The Commercial Appeal (http://bit.ly/1bfVz7j ), police said Shenetta Moore was angry that someone insulted her dress before she plowed into a crowd outside Fantasy World Adult Center early Saturday.
Police documents say Moore tried to fight another woman and said she was “going to run all over” some people.
Police say Moore climbed into her 1997 Chevrolet Blazer, hit four people and three vehicles, backed up and fled.
Police said Moore’s cousin, 30-year-old Tiffany Jenkins, was killed. Police later pulled Moore over and arrested her.
Moore also has been charged with attempted murder and DUI. Online court records do not show if Moore has a lawyer.
