Man Accused of Sexual Exploitation Appears in Court

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A man accused of sex crimes with a minor appeared in court Thursday. A judge formally Rakevius Cole, 24, with two counts of statutory rape and two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. The judge set Cole’s bond at $50,000. A Jackson mom called police Monday after she claimed her 15-year-old son was sexually involved with an unidentified man for several months. Investigators say Cole and the boy met online.
