Murder Trial Set to Begin in April
DOWNTOWN JACKSON — The man charged with murdering a Jackson man and then setting his house on fire had his trial date set, Monday. Randall Secrease is charged with first degree murder, arson, tampering with evidence and theft of property in the 2011 killing of James Blaine Divine III. Trial is set for April 15 at 8:30 a.m. in Don Allen’s courtroom. According to court documents, Secrease confessed to the hitting divine with a stick, stabbing him in the chest, dousing his house with gasoline and setting it on fire and then stealing the victim’s vehicle.
