Organizations Receive Charity Gala Proceeds

JACKSON, Tenn.- Two area organizations received some proceeds raised by the West Tennessee Healthcare Foundation’s largest annual fundraising event. During Tuesday night’s Board of Trustees meeting, the Kirkland Cancer Center and the Ayers Children’s Medical Center were each presented a check for $55,813.55. The money was raised at the 24th Annual Charity Gala in November. Leaders said they are thankful for the outpouring of support. “Every penny does count. Every dollar counts because it’s people who love what we do and love the patients that we serve, so we are very grateful for their support,” said Frank McMeen with the West Tennessee Healthcare Foundation The Ayers Children’s Medical Center Endowment also received a check for $78,170 from friends and family of Jim Ayers, this year’s Tigrett Award recipient at the gala.
