JACKSON, Tenn.- Men and women came together Friday to stand up against violence. Organizers with WRAP or the Wo/men’s Resource and Rape Assistance Program said this celebration and march in downtown Jackson is a call for change. WRAP said its goal is to bring survivors of violence and those who love them together so they can support one another. “It means that people care, that people in our community are willing to unite and work together to put a stop to violence in our community,” said Daryl Chansuthus, executive director of WRAP. More than 40 men and women participated in Friday’s demonstration. WRAP said it is always looking for new volunteers as the program continues to grow.
