Criminal justice careers are focus of event

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) – Students who are interested in a career in police, security, corrections or the courts can get more information about those jobs at an event hosted by Middle Tennessee State University and Nashville State Community College.

The 2014 Middle Tennessee Criminal Justice Networking and Information Exchange will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 11 on Nashville State’s southeast campus, located at 5248 Hickory Hollow Parkway.

Students are asked to bring handshakes instead of resumes and get to know some professionals in the fields they’d like to join. The event will feature representatives from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and numerous police agencies in the region.

The event is free and business casual attire is suggested.
