Trial date set in Tennessee discrimination lawsuit

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – An April 2015 trial date has been set for a lawsuit that former Tennessee associate director of sports medicine Jenny Moshak and two ex-Lady Vols strength coaches filed against the university.

U.S. District Judge Pamela Reeves has scheduled the case to go to trial on April 21, 2015. Plaintiffs include Moshak, Heather Mason and Collin Schlosser.

Moshak, Mason and Schlosser filed a suit in October 2012 saying the university set up a “testosterone wall” that prevented female employees from earning equal pay. The plaintiffs say they performed similar tasks as employees who held similar positions for men’s teams, but that they received less compensation either because of their gender or due to their association with women’s teams. They’re suing the university for discrimination and retaliation.
