2 more teens who fled Tennessee youth center are arrested
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Authorities say two more of the 32 teens who escaped a youth development center in Nashville have been arrested.
Department of Children’s Services spokesman Rob Johnson said the two were arrested Tuesday afternoon. That leaves three still at large.
Earlier Tuesday, eight of those who escaped and were recaptured pleaded guilty to misdemeanor escape in Davidson County General Sessions Court and were sentenced to 11 months and 29 days in jail.
A preliminary report from DCS sent to Gov. Bill Haslam says a security audit will be performed on all three of the state’s youth development centers following the recent breakout and subsequent violence at Woodland Hills Youth Development Center in Nashville.
