Mother Liberty CME Church presents An Evening with Laurice Lanier
It is with great joy and blessings that Mother Liberty CME Church announces its 144th Founder‘s Day Celebration of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. Our celebration will kick-off on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 7 PM with “An Evening with Laurice Lanier”, who will perform in concert in conjunction with our Annual Honors and Awards Banquet. It will take place at The STAR Center Auditorium, 1119 Old Humboldt Road. Honorees for this year‘s event include: Dr. Logan Hampton, Dr. Samuel “Dub” Oliver, Reverend Thomas Emery, Minister Thomas Grizzell, Roy Heatherly, Mayor Bill Rawls, Jr., Douglass “Doug” Roth, and Evelyn Robertson, Jr. Our special guest for the evening, Laurice Lanier-Trowell, named by Maryland Public Television as “One of the Most Versatile Voices on the Planet” is a native of Jackson and a graduate of the prestigious Julliard School. She has performed in theatres, concert halls, private functions, and churches throughout the United States and abroad. Currently, Lanier-Trowell is the owner and head performing arts instructor of Lanier Studios in Yorktown, VA. She also serves as Music Director for Langley Air Force Base Protestant Chapel, Worship Director for USAF‘s Bethel Manor Chapel and Private Vocal Coach for the USAF Heritage Band, all in Langley, VA. Rev. Dr. Daryll H. Coleman, First Lady Robbie Coleman, and members of Mother Liberty CME Church extend to you an invitation to join us as we celebrate 144 years of God‘s grace upon our church and denomination.
