Campus community to receive tickets to see Obama
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – The general public won’t have access to tickets to see President Barack Obama while he is visiting Pellissippi State Community College this week.
Students, faculty and staff of the Knoxville school were entering a lottery Tuesday for tickets to the event on Friday.
The school is also holding watch parties on campus for those who aren’t chosen at random for a ticket. The Knoxville News Sentinel said administrators sent an email to the campus community Tuesday afternoon with information about the lottery and watch parties.
The email said the “great honor” is due to the success of students and alumni and hard work of faculty and staff.
Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and his wife, Jill Biden, are visiting Pellissippi to discuss new plans to help people attend college.
