Arrest warrant for woman in wrong-way crash in Nashville
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Police have issued an arrest warrant for a woman charged with causing a fatal crash while driving on the wrong way of Interstate 65 in Nashville.
Metropolitan Nashville Police say 41-year-old Michael Campbell of Brownsville, Kentucky, was killed when the Chevrolet Corvette he was driving was hit by a Cadillac Escalade on Saturday night.
Police say the driver of the Escalade, 38-year-old Delois Beasley, was driving the wrong way in the northbound lanes of I-65 when she hit the Corvette.
Beasley and a passenger in the Corvette, 32-year-old Terry Anderson, were hospitalized. Police say Beasley, who sustained serious injuries, told investigators that she had consumed “way too much” alcohol.
Police say Beasley will be charged with vehicular homicide by intoxication and vehicular assault when she is released from the hospital.
