JACKSON, Tenn. – The term ‘Blash Blast’ are words Jackson Generals fans have grown accustomed to in the last three years. It’s used every time when right fielder Jabari Blash hits a home run. The Virgin Islands native has nine bombs in just 23 games with the Generals. “Confidence has a lot to do with it,” said Blash of his hot streak. “That’s why we put in all the work before the games. When you’re up on the plate and there’s someone on base — you have an extra edge to get those runs in.” Blash’s nine homers place him fourth in the Southern League standings. The three home run leaders before Blash have played more than 20 games than him. “It feels great to see some of the hard work you put in the off-season paying off,” Blash said. “Great coaching staff we have here and great group of guys to be around.”
