DOWNTOWN JACKSON — An alleged domestic disturbance led to a Jackson man being arrested twice over the weekend, according to court documents. Police responded to a reported domestic disturbance Friday at hotel room in the 1800 block of the Highway 45 Bypass, according to an affidavit. When police arrived, a woman told them she and her boyfriend, Austin Jordan, had gotten into an argument that later became physical. She told police he pulled her off the bed and pushed her to the floor, causing her to hit the back of her head, the document states. Jordan was charged with simple domestic assault. On Sunday, Jordan is accused of being in the area of the woman’s parents’ residence. He allegedly told police he was in the area to contact the woman, according to the affidavit. Police say Jordan was aware a no-contact order was in effect and that he was supposed to avoid any location where the woman was likely to be. Jordan was then charged with violation of order of protection. His bond was set at $1,000.
