Man arrested for killing ex-boyfriend, dumping his body in Mississippi River, police say
ST. LOUIS (KMOV/Gray News) – A Missouri man is accused of killing his ex-boyfriend and dumping his body in the Mississippi River.

St. Louis City prosecutors charged 27-year-old Ahmad K. Jackson with first-degree murder, armed criminal action and abandonment of a corpse.
The 27-year-old is currently being held at the St. Louis City Justice Center without bond.
According to a St. Louis City police affidavit, investigators were called on April 4 to investigate a missing person, later identified as 24-year-old Ross Harris.
A witness told investigators that Harris’ phone had last pinged at Jackson’s home.
Investigators said they spoke with the Harris family, who provided them with a voicemail where Jackson had told them that he was going to kill him.
Family members also shared that Jackson said they wouldn’t be able to recognize Harris afterward.
According to police, text messages from Jackson were found on the Harris’ phone, accusing him of cheating. Police said these additional texts included threats.
From Jackson’s phone records, police said they learned he had purchased a gun in St. Charles, drove to the Harris’ house and then drove to his own home.
Investigators noted they found blood inside Jackson’s home and car.
During an interview with police, Jackson admitted to buying the gun, shooting Harris and then dumping his body in the Mississippi River, authorities said.
An initial court date for Jackson was not immediately scheduled.
