MEDINA, Tenn. — A pickup truck fire left a charred scene Wednesday morning near a Medina home. The homeowner said he looked out his window around 10 a.m., saw smoke and realized his truck was on fire. Firefighters say the fire was fully involved when they made it to the scene. Neighbors reported hearing explosions. No one was injured. “We had secondary exposure on the vinyl siding,” said Capt. Jim Simpson with the Medina Fire Department. “There was exposure to the fire, the right side of the house, that was extinguished upon arrival to protect the residence, and at that time we focused in on the vehicle.” It took firefighters about 15 minutes to contain the flames.
