JACKSON, Tenn. — A Madison County jury hands down a guilty verdict Tuesday in a deadly July 2014 shooting. Dontavious Hendrix was found guilty of second-degree murder in the North Royal Street shooting. Prosecutors argued he shot and killed Justin Williams outside an apartment on July 27 of last year. It was the first of two fatal shootings that day in Jackson, although the two were not connected. Hendrix is scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 17.
