JACKSON, Tenn. — As the summer wears on, officials have a lot planned with one season commemoration — the UT AgResearch and Education Center’s “Summer Celebration Lawn and Garden Show.” This year’s honoring of all things warm and outdoors kicks off Thursday with a new theme — “bees, birds, butterflies and bottles.” West Tennesseans can come and get advice on how to ensure their garden survives the summer. Any “agricultural newcomers” also have the chance to start fresh. “You will also be able to see some plants that perform well in West Tennessee, and you can purchase a lot of these plants at the master gardener plant sale,” said Ginger Rowsey, UT communications specialist. That plant sale begins tomorrow at 9 a.m. at the West Tennessee Research and Education Center located at 605 Airways Boulevard. Indoor talks and outdoor features start at 10 a.m. and run until 6 p.m.
