MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — A Thursday afternoon manhunt ends as deputies and U.S. Marshals capture two men they say fled on foot into a wooded area. Chad Honon and Trent Reynolds both face evading arrest charges after fleeing from a Mason Road home in Madison County when officers showed up to interview Honon on an unrelated charge, according to U.S. Marshals. Chad’s brother, Scott Honon, was arrested at the home, according to the sheriff’s office. Chad Honon and Reynolds fled into a wooded area and eventually tried to break into a Medina home, according to Marshals. The homeowner was present at the time, and the two again fled into the woods. Officers set up a perimeter before apprehending the pair near a railroad track on Old Medina Road with the help of K-9s, according to the sheriff’s office. “The other two decided to run for it. They got into the woods and that’s when everybody was having a wild pursuit. We called JPD’s K-9 unit and they came to the rescue, and got them several miles away on Old Medina Road,” Tom Mapes said, spokesperson for the Madison County Sheriff’s Office. Chad Honon was originally wanted on a probation violation charge, and Reynolds was wanted on drug charges and a failure to appear charge out of Gibson County. “When you have the U.S. Marshals, JPD, and us, it’s pretty serious. So there must be much more to this than what’s coming out right now,” Mapes said. The two and Scott Honon were transported to the Madison County Jail.
