Scotts Hill turned their football program around last season. The Lions first-ever winning season has the team hungry for more. “We hope the kids continue to have confidence, but we told the kids that we’re not going to talk about last year,” head coach Michael Stroup said. “That’s in the past. We want to go out and compete every chance we get.” Scotts Hills isn’t content with just the taste of success. The team is dedicated to return to the playoffs. “They’ve worked harder in the weight room than I’ve ever seen in the weight room this off-season,” Stroup said at Dyersburg’s 7-on-7 tournament. “You can see the confidence building everyday.” The young football program adjusts to the Class 2A, Region 6. The only local team in their division is Riverside.
