DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A man appeared Tuesday in city court on a charge stemming from a prostitution sting in March. Sammie Green Jr. faces one count of patronizing prostitution after allegedly arranging to meet an undercover officer March 13 at a Jackson hotel for sex, according to an affidavit. Police say Green provided money for sex when he arrived at the hotel room. His bond is set at $3,000. The arrest was a result of an operation targeting the purchase of prostitution on the website backpage.com conducted by the Jackson Police Department, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office and the Tennessee Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the document states.
