Dyersburg’s football team’s biggest goal this offseason had nothing to do with x’s and o’s. The Trojans spent a majority of their offseason on teamwork. “To be a good football team, you have to work together. You have to have great chemistry,” head coach Bart Stowe. “That’s something we really worked on with activities throughout spring, summer and now.” On the field, the Trojans want to identify with hard work. “We want to be a blue-collar football team,” Stowe said. “We want to be a physical team that’s going to come after you and play four quarters.” The Trojans took a big hit at the linebacker position. The team has to replace four senior starters. “We’re young at the position and we’re looking for some kids to come on,” Stowe said. “We’re going to have a real young ball club. We have 10 seniors, but 25 juniors that will play a lot.” Dyersburg hosts MLK prep in Week 1.
