2 wanted men arrested after shooting of Nashville mother

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Metro Nashville police have announced that two men wanted for shooting and injuring a mother and her 7-month-old child have been arrested.

Multiple media outlets report that 31-year-old Darryl Starks and 18-year-old Terrance Kimbrough were arrested Tuesday at a Nashville apartment by the police department’s gang unit, along with federal agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Police say a 31-year-old mother was holding her infant child and standing on her porch July 16 with two other men when Starks and Kimbrough fired at them from a vehicle, seriously injuring the woman in the head.

Kimbrough is also named in a separate first-degree murder indictment in connection to the Dec. 3 fatal shooting of 23-year-old Monte Watson.

It was not immediately clear if either man has an attorney.
