River’s cultural, natural history to be discussed at program

STEARNS, Ky. (AP) – Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area is hosting a program on the cultural and natural history of the river.

The park says the program will be led by Ranger Karen Thompson and will provide the cultural and natural history of the river as well as some local tales about the Big South Fork.

The program “Go with the Flow” is set for 7 p.m. EDT Saturday at the Blue Heron Campground and is wheelchair-accessible. Participants should meet at the campfire circle inside the campground.

The park is located on the Kentucky-Tennessee border, and the campground is located in the Kentucky portion of Big South Fork, nine miles west of Stearns.
