Woman sought in wallet theft at Jackson Wal-Mart

JACKSON, Tenn. — Jackson police are looking for a woman they say stole someone’s wallet as the person shopped at Wal-Mart in north Jackson. Officers say the suspect grabbed the victim’s wallet straight from the buggy. “There’s nothing unusual about her other than the fact that she followed this lady and at an opportune moment took advantage of the opportunity that she had by taking this lady’s wallet,” Sgt. Derick Tisdale said. Authorities say the stolen wallet contained the victim’s cash and credit cards. If you can identify the woman, call Crime Stoppers at 731-424-TIPS (8477).
