EAST JACKSON — Deputies surrounded an east Jackson home Wednesday morning as they served drug warrants, according to the sheriff’s office. The Madison County Sheriff’s Office narcotics team was serving warrants at the home near the intersection of East Forest Avenue and Martin Street, according to sheriff’s office spokesman Tom Mapes. About a dozen officers in full gear surrounded the perimeter of the property just after 11 a.m., and two people appeared to be detained, sitting in chairs with handcuffs behind their backs.
