TSU hosts crime, drug prevention awareness event
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Tennessee State University is hosting a crime and drug prevention awareness event on Thursday.
It will take place on the president’s administrative lawn on the main campus in Nashville from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and is in collaboration with emergency managers, first responders, safety advocates and the community.
The event is in observance of the 32nd annual National Night Out campaign, which is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch.
The yearly campaign highlights crime and drug prevention in neighborhoods across the country, and provides residents the opportunity to interact with local first responders and learn more about safety in their communities.
