Deputies search for missing man in Carroll County

CARROLL COUNTY, Tenn. — Deputies are searching for a mentally challenged man who went missing Wednesday night just outside Huntingdon. Erik Allen, 32, was last seen Wednesday evening after he went for a walk around 8 p.m. near the intersection of Maytown Road and Buena Vista Road near Huntingdon, according to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office. Allen is described as a white male, five feet nine inches tall, weighing around 200 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt with blue shorts and white tennis shoes. Law enforcement searched for Allen until the early morning hours and resumed at daybreak. Humphreys County is sending a bloodhound to aid in the search, according to the sheriff’s office. A helicopter also is being deployed to help.
