1st Annual Decatur County Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
We invite you to join us for the lighting of the inaugural Decatur County Christmas Tree! Situated at the Decatur County Courthouse and the tree placement on the grassy knoll at the Decatur County Public Library, experience the beginning of a NEW COUNTY TRADITION complete with the nostalgia of decorations, music, Christmas carols, roasted chestnuts, hot cocoa, barbeque, family & friends, and Mr & Mrs Claus….finally culminated by the lighting of the County tree! The Decatur County Mayor Office, Decatur County Soccer Association (DCSA), Decatur County Library, and Decaturville Mainstreet Association has partnered together to establish an event to create community unity, celebrate Christmas and CHRIST’S BIRTH, and create memories for years to come for the citizens of Decatur County. We invite you to join with us as family, and enjoy this first time event that we hope will turn into memories for our children, our children’s children, and then their children for generations to come!
