Woman charged with leaving child outside in cold
JACKSON, Tenn. — A Jackson woman is facing an aggravated child neglect charge after her 4-year-old son was found locked out of their house while she was inside.
Jessica Gray is accused of leaving the child in a vehicle for a long period of time in extremely cold conditions. Officers found the child sitting on the front porch of the home after they responded early Saturday morning to reports of a child crying in a vehicle.
Police say Gray came out of the house smelling of alcohol and could not explain how her son was left outside.
Gray was released from the Madison County Jail after posting a $10,000 bond.
