WEATHER UPDATE: 10AM
A high pressure system has pushed through, which gave us a northwesterly breeze at 5-10 mph. The temperature right now in Jackson is 55° and temperatures across the west portion of the state are anywhere from the upper 50s to low 60s. For today, we are going to have mostly clear skies and temperatures reaching the upper 60s with a slight wind sticking around.
This high pressure system is what is giving us chillier than normal temperatures and we will continue to see similar conditions through the weekend and into Monday. Sunday evening the clouds will slowly return bringing a low pressure system that will push through from the west. That is going to bring the next chance of rain. Starting Sunday late into the night we will have slight chance of rain or thunderstorms. Monday is when the rain will really start to move in bringing a chance for stronger winds.
The rest of the week there will be a chance for precipitation or thunderstorms possible, but not as big of a chance that we have for Monday. Temperatures will stay around average in the upper 70s but it may feel warmer because of muggier conditions. Sunshine could be possible any day of the week, its all up to how the rain wants to act throughout the week. Stay with the VIPIR 7 Storm Team for the very latest updates to this forecast.
