Eagles Sought Revenge
JACKSON, Tenn — Friday night the Jackson Christian Eagles sought revenge against Trenton Peabody from a loss they suffered nearly a year ago.
Last season the Golden Tide took down the Eagles in this match up 8-2, to send the Eagles home for summer.
Friday was the Eagles turn, the score entering the bottom of the sixth was 1-0 in favor of JC. But they got hot, and never looked back.
They went on to score nine runs in that inning and Wesley Wester ended things with a 2 RBI double.
“It’s been a lot. This team put us out last year. 365 days ago we lost to them 8-2 and pretty much our motivation was the line up card we had for us and wrote on it, never again,” said Wester.
Head coach Chuck Cooper was all smiles after the win. He said his team will get to celebrate tonight and tomorrow, but it’s back to work Sunday and they will be ready for whoever they play by Tuesday.
