Weather Update – 10:30 p.m. Monday

Skies will start out mainly clear this evening but become cloudier late tonight into tomorrow morning. Temperatures will drop to the middle and upper 50s by sunrise at 5:45 a.m. Tuesday morning. Later this week warmer and more humid weather will arrive along with a chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms. The forecast for Memorial Day Weekend will include some of that wet weather for part of the holiday.

TUESDAY
Under partly to mostly cloudy skies, Tuesday will be another warm day with high temperatures in the middle to upper 80s. There’s a slight chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms – especially for parts of West Tennessee near the Mississippi River. That chance is highest between the morning and early evening.

REST OF THE WEEK
The chance for scattered thunderstorms will increase Wednesday and Thursday. Some storms could be strong at times with plenty of moisture and warm air in the atmosphere. Highs in the middle to upper 80s will stay in the daily forecast for most of the week with only slightly cooler weather forecast for the start of the weekend.

MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND
Scattered showers and thunderstorms may start our Memorial Day Weekend off wet. However, at this point in the forecast, it appears that drier weather is more likely on Sunday and Monday. Stay with the VIPIR 7 Storm Team for the very latest updates to your holiday weather forecast!
