Saturday has the best chance for rain this weekend
Weather Update: 9:00 PM Friday
Currently the line of scattered showers that is moving across the area continues to dissipate and weaken. Scattered light rain is the result of this slow moving low pressure system. Temps are still holding in the mid 70s for the most part, but areas farther to the southeast, that have seen the brunt of this system, are already at 70 degree.
With the cloud deck sticking around overnight tonight temps wont fall too much more. Overnight lows are expected to fall only into the upper 60s.
LONG WEEKEND
This weekend, Saturday has the best chance for showers and thunderstorms. Although, currently we are not under any risk for severe activity this weekend, thunderstorms could bring some strong winds. Afternoon highs look to be similar to today and in the low 80s for Saturday.
Both Sunday and Monday are looking to be mostly sunny with the chance for pop-up showers and thunderstorms. It’ll be a muggy and hot long weekend with afternoon highs expected to be in the mid and upper 80s and overnight lows in the 60s. So not looking at completely wet days, just be prepared for something to pop up if you have outdoor plans either day.
NEXT WEEK
By Tuesday the clouds return although the chance for rain showers does remain low and high temps remain in the mid 80s. By Wednesday of next week, the chance for more widespread showers and thunderstorms increase and the higher rain chance take us through the end of next week.
