Weather Update: 10:40 PM Sunday

West Tennessee is getting a little more redevelopment along the cold front. This is expected to strengthen a little bit more but the threat for severe activity has been dropped across the area. We could be dealing with heavy rain at time, strong winds within the thunderstorms and little lightning.

Tonight temps are expected to fall only into the upper 60s to low 70s. The chance for overnight rain remains in the forecast. The cold front could have some lingering activity into early Sunday morning before things start to dry out.

Sunday will start mostly cloudy but as the day goes on, and high pressure takes over, skies should continue to clear. High temps for Sunday will still be below seasonal for the month of June and remain in the low 80s. It’ll feel comfortable with the humidity dropping behind the front!

This week, high pressure is really in control! We are looking at mostly sunny skies all week. High temps begin the week in the 80s but we will near 90 degrees again by the time we get into next weekend. The heat is on the way!
