Scattered Showers & Thunderstorms

Scattered showers and thunderstorms continue to push their way north east into west Tennessee, but are mostly breaking apart as they make way. We didn’t drop very low overnight with temperatures only reaching the low 70s for parts of Jackson and the rest of west Tennessee. All in all for right now, conditions are calm with mostly cloudy skies and a few hit-or-miss showers. The temperatures are still hanging on to the 70s.
Today & Tomorrow
For today we do have an 80% chance of rain and thunderstorms for most of West Tennessee, but mostly that will be scattered conditions. It won’t be raining all day long, but when a pocket of rain passes over, it will more than likely be heavier rain than light rain. An isolated thunderstorm is also possible with today’s conditions as the rest of this low pressure system pushes over the state. Overnight tonight things will calm down and the rest of the rain should either dissipate or move out entirely. On Sunday we only have a slight chance for any rain and that will for the most part be strictly in the morning because the rest of the day is forecast to be a gorgeous day with low humidity levels and lots of sunshine. A few passing clouds may appear, but for the most part Sunday is going to be a picture perfect summer day.
Rest of the Week
The rest of the week is going to look a lot like Sunday. Sunshine will continue to be the main factor everyday. A few clouds could be possible here and there, but temperatures will stay anywhere in the low to mid 80s and the humidity level should also stay relatively low. However, come Saturday the temperature may heat up a little more than the temperatures during the week. So even though this week is going to feel a lot more comfortable, the heat will return this coming weekend.
