Tropical Weather Update – 10:00 p.m. Monday
Tropical Storm Colin is maintaining tropical storm strength producing 50 mph maximum sustained winds moving north-northeast at 22 mph. One of the biggest impacts for interests in the southeastern US is flooding. Colin is expected to produce rainfall amounts of 3 to 6 inches with isolated maximum totals of 10 inches across western to northern Florida, southeast Georgia, and coastal areas of the Carolinas through Tuesday.
Local Weather Update – 10:30 p.m. Monday
Scattered clouds will arrive in West Tennessee this evening ahead of an oncoming cold front. There’s a 20% chance for rain in areas near the Tennessee-Kentucky border. More than likely, conditions will remain dry for all of the Mid-South as the cold front comes through early tomorrow morning. Temperatures will drop to the lower 60s by sunrise at 5:40 a.m. Tuesday morning.
TUESDAY
Mainly sunny skies are forecast for West Tennessee tomorrow but conditions will become windy at times tomorrow with gusts potentially reaching 20 mph in some spots. Temperatures will be a bit cooler as a result with highs in the lower to middle 80s tomorrow.
REST OF THE WEEK
