Weather Update – 10:30 p.m. Thursday
Calm and clear conditions continue overnight with temperatures dropping to the lower and middle 60s. A few places in northwest Tennessee near the Tennessee River will be able to reach the upper 50s. With a rise in humidity temperatures could even feel like they’re over 100°F in parts of West Tennessee on Sunday!
FRIDAY
Tomorrow may start cooler than average, but during the afternoon, temperatures will reach the lower 90s! The humidity will start to return more tomorrow but still won’t make conditions unbearable yet – that takes place this weekend. Skies will be sunny on Friday with a UV index of 10 meaning it could take as little as 15 minutes of exposure to the sun to get a sunburn.
THIS WEEKEND
Saturday and Sunday will be the hottest days we’ve had in West Tennessee since last Summer. Temperatures will reach the lower to middle 90s at the warmest point of the day. There’s a 10-20% chance for an isolated shower or thunderstorm to take place during the morning and afternoon hours on both days. The increasing humidity will make temperatures feel like they’re close to or over 100°F, especially on Sunday. Stay cool!
