Weather Update: 10:00 PM Saturday

Current temps are mainly in the upper 70s to low 80s but the feel like conditions are in the upper 80s to low 90s! It feels much hotter today than yesterday even under cooler conditions because of the higher dew points. There is more moisture in the atmosphere. We also have some scattered storms pushing through Bolivar, Selmer, Covington, Memphis, and areas along the Tennessee/Mississippi state line.

TONIGHT
Tonight the chance for showers and thunderstorms begins to diminish after sunset. But we are looking at more clouds to creep into the area. Overnight lows remain in the low to mid 70s again tonight.

MONDAY
Starting the workweek, we can expect another day like today. Afternoon high temps will reach back into the low 90s. The humidity sticks around so we also keep the chance for pop-up afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Most of the activity stay during the afternoon and once we lose the daytime heating the chance for showers and thunderstorms diminishes.

THIS WEEK
The chance for rain remain in the forecast everyday this week. We can expected pop up storms with day time heating and high humidity values through midweek. Most shower and thunderstorm activity, again, will occur during the hot afternoon hours. Afternoon highs remain in the low 90s. By Thursday a weak cold front pushes through, bringing a better chance for widespread thunderstorms Thursday night into Friday.
