WEATHER UPDATE
AN EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 TONIGHT FOR LAKE, OBION, DYER, LAUDERDALE, TIPTON AND SHELBY COUNTIES IN WEST TENNESSEE.
A HEAT ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR ALL OF WEST TENNESSEE UNTIL 8 SATURDAY EVENING.
Hot and humid conditions will prevail across the Mid-South through at least early next week. Heat index values will likely exceed 105 degrees each day. Scattered daytime showers and thunderstorms may provide some relief.
By the middle of next week, a cold front will approach the Mid-South from the North. As a result, increased chances for showers and thunderstorms will occur across the area. The increased convection and cloud cover should keep high temperatures a tad cooler from Tuesday onward through the rest of the week.
