Weather Update – 10:45 p.m. Tuesday
Occasionally heavy rainfall will continue overnight under mostly cloudy skies. Isolated thunderstorms will still be possible though severe weather is not expected. Temperatures will drop to the lower and middle 70s by sunrise at 6:14 a.m. Wednesday morning. An additional few tenths to a half inch of rain are possible overnight. The “light at the end of the tunnel” lies with cooler and less humid weather forecast for the start of the workweek next week!
WEDNESDAY
More showers and thunderstorms are possible tomorrow from morning through evening. Don’t forget – you can download the WBBJ smartphone app and monitor storms on the interactive radar so that you can track the showers and thunderstorms nearest you. Our high temperatures tomorrow will be limited to the lower and middle 80s due to cloudy skies and scattered rain. We’re expecting an additional 0.50″ to 1″ of rain on Wednesday. Flash flooding seems unlikely but there could be some minor street flooding in urban areas.
REST OF THE WEEK
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible on Thursday and Friday but may not be as widespread as the rain has been that we’ve had lately. Right now, the forecast doesn’t bode well for Week 1 of High School Football in West Tennessee, but rain on Friday will still be scattered – meaning not everyone will get it.
Another cold front will push toward the region over the weekend bringing more showers and thunderstorms. Once the front leaves us either Sunday or Monday, we may be looking at cooler temperatures and less humidity! Stay with the VIPIR 7 Storm Team for the latest forecast…
