Weather Update – 10:45 p.m. Wednesday

Showers and isolated thunderstorms will remain possible overnight. Occasionally heavy rainfall is possible but most of the rain should be light. Temperatures will drop to the upper 60s and lower 70s by sunrise at 6:17 a.m. Thursday morning. This wet pattern will finally adjust to a drier and “sunnier” pattern by early next week.

THURSDAY
More showers and thunderstorms are possible tomorrow from morning through evening under mostly cloudy skies. Don’t forget – you can download the WBBJ smartphone app and monitor storms on the interactive radar so that you can track the rain near you. Our high temperatures tomorrow will once again be limited to the lower and middle 80s.

FRIDAY AND THE WEEKEND
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible on Friday and will remain possible into the early evening. This means that area football fields could be muddy for Week 1 of High School Football in West Tennessee. The concert at Jackson’s AMP at the Market may also have some rain to contend with, but the showers and thunderstorms will be hit-or-miss so not everyone will get rain on Friday.

A cold front will push toward the region over the weekend bringing more showers and thunderstorms on Saturday and into Sunday morning. When the front leaves us on Sunday, cooler and less humid air is coming to West Tennessee! We may even see some areas reach temperatures in the 50s Monday and Tuesday morning. The last time we had temperatures that cool was on June 9th – 69 days ago.
