Norman steals the spotlight to claim player of the week
MILAN, Tenn — Coming into the first round of the playoffs the Milan Bulldogs had been rolling, so had the Bolivar Tigers team. The game between the two was sure to live up to it’s game of the week hype. Well the Bulldogs got to work early and that meant a heavy dose of running back Jacquez Norman who ended the night with four touchdowns. He helped lead his Bulldogs past the Tigers for the second consecutive year in the playoffs.
With the four scores, Norman now has 17 touchdowns on the season and he’s not even the starting running back. He said he credits all his success to his lineman, saying when you have those guys it makes things easy. Norman said he and his teammates are practically family, they have been playing ball together since YMCA days and it helps when they step on the field on Friday nights.
This weekend Norman and his Bulldogs face another tough task taking on the Liberty Tech Crusaders who have defeated the Bulldogs the last three times they faced off.
