Paraglider pilot killed in accident in east Tennessee
FARRAGUT, Tenn. (AP) – Police in east Tennessee say the pilot of a paraglider has died and a passenger was injured in a weekend accident.
Media outlets report the crash occurred Sunday in woods near Farragut.
The Knox County Sheriff’s Office says 58-year-old Stanley Decoursey of Powell was pronounced dead at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. A hospital spokeswoman says 54-year-old passenger Kenneth Atkins of Knoxville was in stable condition Monday.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
