Slight Risk for Severe Weather on Wednesday
Weather Update – 11:15 p.m. – Tuesday, April 7th
Scattered showers only brought 0.01″ of rain to West Tennessee today. That’s our monthly total so far! We may only be a week in but its the first time since 2002 that the first 7 days of April have been this dry. There are more showers in the forecast from Wednesday night through Thursday morning, and we’re closely monitoring the risk for severe thunderstorms too!
TONIGHT
A few scattered showers are possible but overnight is forecast to be mostly dry with just a slight chance for rain. Temperatures will be mild once again tonight with cloudy skies and breezes from the southwest limiting our temperatures to the middle 60s at the coolest point of the night.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible yet again tomorrow with high temperatures in the middle 80s. Unfortunately, timing is a difficult part of this forecast and one we have very low confidence in. Most models are showing a chance for scattered storms in the afternoon and early evening with more widespread showers and thunderstorms late Wednesday night. There’s a slight risk for severe weather including a threat for hail and strong winds with any thunderstorms that develop so stay with WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News for the latest hour-by-hour forecast and keep up with Storm Team Weather online too for more updates.
