Jackson shoppers discover snake in store parking lot

JACKSON, Tenn. — Local shoppers were greeted by an unexpected guest Wednesday evening.

Footage shows what appears to be a rat snake slithering along shopping carts and light poles in the parking lot at Walmart in south Jackson.

Customers gathered to witness the shocking sight from a safe distance.

Rat snakes are non-poisonous and common in this area of Tennessee.
