Pre-vocational training program offered in Dyersburg
DYERSBURG, Tenn. — Up to 30 people in northwest Tennessee will be able to participate in a pre-vocational training program in May, according to a news release.
The release says the program, Registered Electrical Apprenticeship Preparation, is a partnership between Amteck, the American Job Centers, and the Northwest TN Workforce Board.
West Tennesseans ages 18 to 24 with an interest in a career as an electrician can apply for a paid two-week apprenticeship through Amteck University to learn the fundamentals of electricity and construction applications, the release says.
Applicants must be 18 to 24-years-old, have reliable transportation, and be able to attend Shock and Awe Day on Saturday, May 1 at 8 a.m., the release says.
A maximum of 30 applicants will be selected.
To apply, please attend the Shock and Awe event at 1024 East Court Street in Dyersburg at 8 a.m. on May 1.
