The park says there will be five cannon firing demonstrations on Saturday, Sept. 4 at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 12 p.m., 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
There will be another four on Sunday, Sept. 5 at 11 a.m., 12 p.m., 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., the park says.
“These period correct firing demonstrations allow the public an opportunity to use their imaginations and visualize the immense destruction a cannon could deliver,” said Shiloh Superintendent Allen Etheridge. “We are excited to present these final cannon firing demonstrations of the season on this traditional end of summer weekend.”
On Labor Day, which is Sept. 6, the park will be hosting its part two of the ranger led bike tour called Monuments with Meaning.
The park says the ride will be two hours over a 6 mile length.
