Waste Collection Day set for Oct. 23 in Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn. — The City of Jackson is holding another Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day.

The city says the next day is planned for Saturday, Oct. 23, and will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will be held at 164 Conalco Drive, which is off North Parkway between North Royal Street and Dr. F.E. Wright Drive.

The city says the Collection Day will include electronic waste collection, document shredding, prescription medication drop-offs and cardboard recycling.

Latex paint, used oil, televisions, alkaline batteries, medical and infectious waste, ammunition and explosives, radioactive wastes, smoke detectors and empty containers will not be accepted.
