Weakley County Sheriff’s Office investigates homicide
WEAKLEY COUNTY, Tenn. — The Weakley County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide.
According to a news release, on Wednesday, Jessica Rena Thompson reported her niece, Mandy Noe, missing at the Weakley County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the investigators, it was discovered that Jessica Thompson’s husband, Christopher Thomas Thompson, had been arrested the night before during a domestic dispute.
After interviewing Christopher Thompson, it was determined that Mandy Noe was killed during a dispute between the three of them, on or about Jan. 21, 2022.
According to the sheriff’s office, the Thompsons allegedly took steps to hide the crime by burying the victim on the property where they lived.
Christopher Thompson has been charged with second-degree murder, domestic assault, false imprisonment, and tampering with evidence.
Jessica Thompson has been charged as an accessory after the fact, tampering with evidence, and filing a false report.
Christopher Thompson’s bond was set at $250,000, and Jessica Thompson’s bond was set at $75,000.
The investigation is ongoing.
